“We Can Bomb the World to Pieces, but We Can’t Bomb it into Peace” – Michael Franti & Spearhead, Bomb the World
Regardless of what you believe or disbelieve about the official account of what happened during 9/11 there are certain facts about governmental policy and the doctrine of those in power then and now that are incontrovertible.
The Wolfowitz Doctrine, the Project for a New American Century, the “intelligence failure” that lead to our leaders to a one stating with absolute certainty that weapons of mass destruction were in the hands of people determined to use them against, as they put it, “our friends, our allies and against us” or the frequently repeated statement “you don’t want the smoking gun to come in the form of a mushroom cloud” are all testimony to a vision and a mindset that, in my opinion and those of many others has been profoundly harmful to this country and our place in the world.
I just saw a film, Hijacking Catastrophe: 9/11, Fear & the Selling of American Empire, available free via Google Video that exposes the facts of this cabal in a carefully documented and non-reactionary way. As an American or someone that wants to understand that America’s current actions do not represent real Americans, I strongly recommend investing the hour and ten minutes it takes to view this work in its entirety. It is thoughtful, it is important, it is honest and it should be shared.
