		<description>Who cares? Such fights and disputes only hurt us, the consumers. Not only it takes longer for the technology to be available, but also it makes it much more expensive.

Multiple implementations of the same idea is a good thing, let them compete with their quality, not with their lawyers.</description>

Then there is also SlideIT which while it does not quite look as polished and stylish has a patent filed on 6/2/2004. Swype seems a relatively new upstart in comparison.</description>
